What is Tams Sunshine House?
Tams Sunshine House is a licensed Group Child Care Program located in Kalamazoo, Michigan
We are a small family owned business since 1994 when we opened to the public. As a licensed group childcare program we have been accredited by the National Association for Family Child Care since 2005 and licensed by the State of Michigan since 1994. We have been certified by the Office Great Start as a 5 Star Program and continue to participate in the Quality Rating Systems for over the last 12 years. We strive to make continuous updates and improvements that enhance and enrich the children's education while in our care.
Our Mission:
Tam's Sunshine House is dedicated to the growth and well-being of the children in our care. Our children are treated the way you would want them to be treated, with kindness and understanding.
We strive to bring our students beyond what you would expect from a 'cookie-cutter' facility. We are warm and approachable with the children allowing them to know they have secure attachments with their caregivers/teachers.
Our Profile:
Tam's Sunshine House is a Local, State, and Nationally certified Child Care facility that care for children, regardless of race, color, ethnic origin, religion, or any other thing that someone can discriminate against. A child is just that to us. A child. We see no difference, and that is how we run our program.
Grant Awarded for Infant and Toddler Care:
Tams Sunshine House has been award a grant for Infants and Toddlers that are currently receiving DHS Subsidy/Scholarship. If you have a infant or toddler under 35 months; receiving DHS Funds; this grant will pay any remaining balance of co-pays until October 2025. Currently we have openings for part time days during the week. There will be openings in January 2027. Contact us for more information.
